‘Smooth Preparation’ for Stadium Facility for 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships

- Holds Workshop on July 19 with Stadium Facility Partners -

Organizing Committee for 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships held a joint partner workshop at Chungju Stadium on July 19, 2:00 PM for efficient installation and operation of stadium facilities.

In the workshop, 22 people including Organizing Committee, stadium manager, and business agency participated. The participants shared the progress on preparation status for the stadium, checked unprepared matters, and made resolutions on preparing the facilities during the remaining period for holding 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships successfully.

The participants also shared plans for stadium environment decorations, function room installation, supplies placement, and cleaning for a pleasant stadium management. In addition, the participants had an in-depth discussion with facility managers on technical fields such as electricity and machine.

The participants agreed on designing the stadium environment decoration for a pleasant environment that wouldn’t cause inconvenience to athletes. Also, the participants agreed on installing the warm-up room and bench room considering the best convenient line for athletes.

Organizing Committee is trying its best on preparing for the stadium facilities based on the given conditions under the goal of making 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships as the international standard model. Furthermore, the Organizing Committee is preparing the best facilities meet the criteria of international athletic competition.

Secretary general Jae-young Lee of Organizing Committee showed his will for successful facility support and said “Although facilities of stadiums in Chungju regions are poor, we will try out best in supporting the facilities in the given conditions and prepare 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships qualified as the international competition”. 

Starting from the opening ceremony on upcoming August 30, 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships will be held at 9 stadiums including Chungju Stadium until September 6 with about 4,000 athletes and executives from 100 countries. 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships is expected to be an opportunity for settling as the international martial arts championships. 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships is jointly held by Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungju-si and sponsored by General Association of International Sports Federations, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Korean Sports & Olympic Committee.

 - 19일경기장시설분야파트너워크숍개최-

2019충주세계무예마스터십조직위원회(WMC,이하,조직위)는 경기장 시설물의 효율적 설치와 운영을 위한 합동 파트너 워크숍을 19일 오후2시에 충주종합운동장 조직위 회의실에서 개최했다.

워크숍에는 조직위를 비롯한 조직위, 경기장 관리자, 업무대행사 등 22명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 그동안 진행된 경기장 시설 준비상황을 공유한 뒤 미비사항 등을 점검하고, 남은 기간 완벽하게 시설을 준비해 대회를 성공적으로 개최하기 위하여 지원하겠다는 의지를 다졌다.

또 이들은 경기장 환경장식과 기능실 설치, 경기용 물자 배치는 물론 쾌적한 경기장 관리를 위한 청소운영 계획 등을 공유하고, 전기·기계 분야 등 기술적인 분야에 대해 시설물 관리자들과 심도 있는 논의를 했다

경기장 환경장식 디자인은 선수의 입장에서 경기에 지장을 주지 않은 쾌적한 환경으로 장식하고, 웜업장과 선수대기실 등 기능실은 선수가 가장 편하게 사용할 수 있는 동선 등을 고려하여 설치하기로 의견을 모았다.

조직위는 2019충주무예마스터십을 국제 표준모델로 만들고자 하는 목표로, 경기장 시설 준비도 주어진 여건 하에서 최선을 다하고 있다. 아울러 조직위는 국제 경기대회 기준에 맞는 시설을 마련하기 위해 충주체육관 등 경기장을 최상의 시설로 준비하고 있다.

조직위 이재영 사무총장은“비록 충주지역 경기장의 시설이 열악하지만, 경기에 지장이 없도록 주어진 여건에서 최대한의 시설을 지원하여 국제 대회로서의 수준을 갖춘 대회로 준비 중”이라며 성공적인 시설 지원의 의지를 다졌다.

2019충주세계무예마스터십은 오는8월 30일 개회식을 시작으로 9월 6일까지 충주체육관 등 9개 경기장에서 100개국 4,000여명의 선수와 임원이 참가할 예정으로 국제 무예대회로서의 입지를 굳히는 대회가 될 것으로 기대된다. 이 대회는 충청북도와 충주시가 공동 개최하고 국제경기연맹총연합회(GAISF), 문화체육관광부, 외교부, 대한체육회 등이 후원한다.
